We are deeply saddened by the recent death of State Representative Mark Beaubien. Mark was a true patriot, an excellent statesman, and a good man. He will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Dee, and the rest of the Beaubien family during this difficult time.
We have tried our best to be as sensitive as possible by giving the Beaubien family time to mourn, but we must now begin the difficult process of filling the vacancy resulting from this tragic loss.
State law dictates that we must fill the vacancy by July 5th. Because the 52nd District spans across three counties, the county chairmen of McHenry, Cook, and Lake are responsible for filling the vacancy. Each chairman’s vote is weighted in proportion to percentage voting population.
We are committed to making this process as fair and transparent as possible. As such, we will be accepting resumes from any and all interested parties through the close of business, Friday, June 24th. Resumes should be sent to Chairman Bob Cook at bobcook353@hotmail to be considered. Late resumes will NOT be accepted.
As we look to fill this vacancy, there are several factors that need to be taken into consideration. Specifically, we are looking for (in no particular order): 1) Residency in current district and willingness to move into new district (if not already living within new district boundaries) in 2012 2) Proven commitment to the Republican Party, 3) Ability to raise funds, 4) Reputable character, 5) Past experience in an elected office or comparable community/civic position, 6) Adequate knowledge of current state issues, 7) Willingness and ability to work with other legislators, party officials, and community leaders,
Reputable character, 9) Satisfactory background check, and 10) A clear vision for the 52nd District and Illinois.
If you feel as though you or someone you know fits this description, please forward a resume to Chairman Bob Cook at bobcook353@hotmail.com by Friday, June 24th. After resumes have been received, the county chairmen will review all resumes and will select final candidates to participate in a formal interview process on Thursday, June 30th. A final selection will be made by Tuesday, July 5th.

Can you give me any information as to who Danielle Rowe is and her affiliation with the LAKE COUNTY REPUBLICANS.
Danielle Rowe was passing out information on her bid for the Republican State Representative District 52 and stated that she is the Republican ( GOP ) candidate.
Is her statemente true and does the LAKE COUNTY REPUBLICANS indorse her?
Ronald G. Schuessler
Danielle Rowe is a Republican candidate (along with GOP candidates David McSweeney and incumbent Kent Gaffney), but the Lake County Republican Party does not endorse in the primaries. Danielle has been to several of our functions in the past.
